We Learned With Fun

We came together with our children living in districts and villages. We have learned and taught very enjoyable lessons on fields of  folk literature and theater peculiar to the region, traditions, customs and beliefs, folk music and dances, folk arts, cuisine, clothing, equipment, decoration, etc.

By giving folklore education to our children aged 7-14 in the villages, we have increased their awareness on folklore and customs. We enabled them to get closer to folk culture, folk music and folk dances. We tried to keep the traditions alive by playing children’s games which are almost forgotten and telling a folk tale.

We also learned a lot while doing local research. We have recorded new information on many topics, from “Keye şaşması” to “zömbek”, local delicacies to bridal dress.
